Good News for Older Adults and Seniors in Mississauga!

Square One Older Adult Centre and Square One Seniors Wellness Services – two vital organizations which have a long history of serving the health, wellness, social and educational needs of older adults and seniors living in Mississauga – are pleased to announce that, effective January 1, 2016, both organizations have joined forces and resources under the leadership of one Board of Directors to deliver a wide variety of programs and services that will address the high-priority needs of its members and Mississauga’s growing older adult community. The amalgamated organization will continue to operate under the name: Square One Older Adult Centre (Charitable number: ).

Square One Older Adult Centre offers an array of health, fitness, social, educational, volunteer and multicultural programs that enrich the lives of Mississauga’s older adults. “According to the Centre President, Alice Dods, the amalgamation is good news for Mississauga’s older adults: “Together, we will be stronger, more effective and efficient. As a leading registered charitable organization in our city devoted exclusively to nourishing the mind, body and spirit of Mississauga’s aging population, our mission remains to provide a truly welcoming place that celebrates individuality and diversity, inspiring older adults to embrace their vitality, optimize their health and well-being, and broaden their horizons.”
