Established in October 1992 by a group of concerned citizens, Square One Older Adult Centre (SOOAC) is a charitable organization committed to enriching the lives of Mississauga’s seniors and older adults who are 50+ years of age.  Our Centre offers an array of over 90 weekly social, recreational, health and multicultural programs.

Our aim is to ensure that seniors remain active, independent, and engaged in their community, thus bettering their health and well-being. SOOAC is governed by a strong volunteer Board of Directors, and aided by an enthusiastic team of over 200 volunteers.

For 23 years SOOAC has been meeting the diverse social and educational needs of its 1800+ members through a range of affordable, accessible and stimulating programs and activities that strengthen the body, enliven the mind and awaken the spirit. Our friendly Centre is open seven days a week and is home to seven different ethno-cultural seniors’ groups and clubs.
